Our Bora simulator has three powerful electric fans (normally used for big inflatable structures) producing a strong airflow, controlled by Arduino and some sensors, to recreate the effect of Trieste's Bora wind and its blasts. You can choose between "Light Bora" or "Dark Bora" (i.e. mixed with rain). The simulator is contained within a structure reproducing a classical view of Trieste, and the Bora wind is blowing from a window.

The project concerns the development of an active building component for the cladding of facades of new or existing buildings. This component was implemented through the integration of photovoltaic technology and energy storage. The object of the project was also the development of control and power electronics for managing the energy produced / stored, and the entire building system to be applied to vertical facades, including thermal insulation. The result was a building component prototype (70x70cm) that can be easily connected to other modules and installed on the wall. A demonstrator of a façade of 12 modules was realized for the experimental phase.
