APOLLO 11

This workshop, in the 50th anniversary of landing on the moon, retraces in an interactive way all the Apollo 11 mission, from the building of a SATURN V rocket to the different phases of the trip to the satellite, evoked through the use of a disassemblable model, and ends with the imprinting of the famous footprint on the lunar surface.

The British Interplanetary Society is the oldest, currently active, astronautics association in the world. The Society, made of professionals and serious enthusiast, has been one of the founders of the IAF (International Astronautical Association) and always kept a visionary role in astronautic engineering and space sciences. It is also very active in education and outreach, and in Italy (through the local international branch) cooperates directly with ESA, ASI, and IAPS/INAF on many events and projects.
