The research of the agro-industrial sector in recent years has focused on the enhancement of by-products and processing waste through their recovery and the production of bio-products, with the aim of ensuring sustainable growth for companies. During the talk some examples of valorisation of agro-food biomass will be presented: from the production of food supplements to the production of high-tech materials (bioplastics, nanomaterials, edible films).
