This year we wanted Maker Faire Rome not to be only a point of arrival for those who exhibited their projects, but a real kick off.
The contest are special initiatives aimed to enhancing and rewarding the best projects on some specific themes.
A public and tangible recognition of the value of the maker projects exhibited during the event.

Promoted by: Maker Faire Rome – The European Edition in collaboration with Visionalia and Yamaha
The contest was born from the idea of creating a work and/or kinetic installation to be placed on a Yamaha Disklavier DU1EN upright piano or similar model that gives shape to the abstract concept “Armonia Cerebrale”, created by the artists Alex Braga and Donato Piccolo.
Prize: the contest involves the identification of three finalist projects from which a winner will be chosen. The winner will appear in the video clip of the artist Alex Braga and will be used during the tour of the artists Alex Braga and Donato Piccolo. The three finalist projects will be exhibited in the period 18 – 20 October 2019 within the “Maker Faire Rome – The European Edition”.
The evaluation committee is composed of: Alex Braga, Valentino Catricalà, Antonino Laudani, Amleto Picerno, Donato Piccolo, Alessandro Ranellucci, Francesco Riganti Fulginei.

The Contest: it was born from the desire to create, in preparation for the upcoming Christmas holidays of 2019, a high-level artistic lighting project for the city of Rome. ACEA, in fact, provides lighting installations during the Christmas season to decorate the streets of the city centre of Rome.Application by 31/07/2019
Prize: the winner will receive a prize of € 40,000.00 and will be assigned the role of artistic director for the submitted project; the award ceremony will take place on October 18, 2019, during the opening day of the seventh edition of Maker Faire Rome.
The evaluation committee is composed of: Massimiliano Paolucci, Massimiliano Garri, Tiziana Flaviani, Alberto Scarlatti and Alessandro Ranellucci.

Make To Care: an award to Makers that help overcoming disability.
Promoted by: Sanofi Genzyme
The contest: the award stems from the desire to bring out and facilitate the implementation, along with the dissemination, of innovative and useful solutions to meet the real needs of people who have any form of disability, as any sharp decrease in the quality of life due to diseases and/or traumatic events.
Participation: projects will be selected by the Scientific Secretariat within the Call for Makers.
